unknown soldier

Richard Drew captured this image of a man falling from the World Trade Center in New York after the terror attacks on September 11, 2001. Its publication led to a public outcry from people who found the photograph insensitive. Drew sees it differently. On the 10th anniversary of the attacks, he said he considers the falling man an "unknown soldier" who he hopes "represents everyone who had that same fate that day." It's believed that upwards of 200 people fell or jumped to their deaths after the planes hit the towers.

 2. Very sad to see someone having to even think about jumping from a building and seeing it as a better option than staying in the building to find a way out

 3. This is a truly compelling image, and one that we actually spoke about in class on 9/11 this year so I am glad that you posted it here. Go into more depth with your posts though. It shouldn't just be about the fact that this is a powerful image, you should also illustrate passion in your posting of it - why did it make sense to you to post this specific image?
